In The Field Since:
Small Animal Internship, Loomis Basin Veterinary clinic, Loomis, CA, 1994
DVM, The Ohio State University, 1993

Allison enjoys emergency medicine because each day or night brings new challenges and chances to learn. She began her career in small animal medicine and surgery until 2001 when she switched to emergency medicine. Allison worked in emergency medicine in Pittsburgh, PA until 2005 when she moved to Madison. Her professional interests include surgery and wound management.
No person plans to take their pet to the Emergency Room, so one of my goals at VES is to make each family's experience as positive as possible, even if the reason we are meeting is sad and unexpected. When not working, I spend time with my family (husband, 3 children and 10 pets!). Besides time with my dogs or horses, my other hobbies are reading, hiking, and supporting the Ohio State Buckeyes!
